The Strange Tree
The forest was really dark and very cold. Dolores did not like it there. Dolores could hear an owl. Dolores saw millions of trees around her.
Dolores was very scared and she wanted to go home. Dolores ran until she saw a tree with a face. It said “I'm not letting you past”
“But I have to go home”, said Dolores.
“But I have to go home”.
Then the tree said "I don't care. You can live here”.
“But I want to go home”, said Dolores.
Then the tree said “You have to say something nice about me”
. Then Dolores said “You are really rough”.
Then the tree said “Rough? How dare you”.
Then Dolores said “You have lovely leaves”.
Then the tree said “Oh, thank you. You may go past”.
Then Dolores ran all the way home. When Dolores got home she told everyone about the talking tree.
