My Place 09:
Creative Writing Arising from Research
Townland Haikus
The students from Colehill researched the geography, history and features of their own townlands, Part of their research concerned the names and meanings of the townlands.
We went on to create Haikus, based on the townland names.
A Haiku is a three line poem of seventeen syllables with a line stucture of 5 - 7 - 5 syllables.
