My Place 09: Finding new Research Themes

Many of the students were inspired by the stories frim the Folklore Schools' survey of 37/38. It was a special moment when one of the children from Melview realised that the tailor, Patrick Fagan, referred to in one of the stories was her great Grandfather. She brought in his birth certificate to show the class. Read this story.

Many new stories were collected. All these scribed stories have been bound and placed in the Local Studies Room in Longford. Here is the beginning of just one.
